What a Night! CEEF’s 2026 Event Brings Community Together

What happens when you bring together great hosts, curious guests, a little mystery, and a whole lot of Cape Elizabeth spirit? One unforgettable evening. On October 3, more than 130 guests gathered for intimate dinners in 13 homes across town to support the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation (CEEF). Guests didn’t learn where they’d be dining until the week of the event, adding to a night of new friendships, incredible hospitality, and plenty of surprises.

No two tables were quite the same, and that was exactly the point.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many guests enjoying the chance to meet parents, educators, and community members who care about Cape Elizabeth schools as much as they do. Our hosts went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, creating a night that is hard to replicate.

After dinner, guests joined other CEEF supporters at a local seaside barn for the Sweet Celebration, with dessert, conversation, a raffle, and a chance to celebrate the impact CEEF makes possible for local students and educators.

Together, CEEF’s event raised more than $30,000! Those funds will go directly toward CEEF grants in the year ahead. Since 2002, thanks to events like this one and the generosity of our community, CEEF has invested more than $1.8 million in grants that inspire creativity, support educators, and expand opportunities for students across all three Cape Elizabeth schools.

Thank you to everyone who opened their homes, bought a ticket, joined a table, donated, or volunteered. You made the magic happen and showed once again what this community can do for its schools. We’re already looking forward to gathering again next year to support CEEF.
